I’m absolutely thrilled! I am finalizing the purchase of this beautiful 2004 Chinook Summit!

I’ve always wanted a beautiful motorhome.
After going through the late 70’s Apollo which took us across country (and broke down at least once!) in 2000, and most recently, a 1992 Toyota Mini Winnie (which also broke down on our trip!), I really needed to find a wonderful motorhome.
I drove 4.5 hours to Coburg, Oregon to see a 2004 Chinook Glacier last weekend (August 28, 2021), only to be terribly disappointed with the things wrong with it and the overall condition. It was beautiful outside and I loved the quality of the build, but it had over 100K miles on it and it really showed. I had deposit in hand and ended up driving home feeling discouraged.
I decided that night to do one last search on rvtrader. Only this time, I would just use 2004 Chinook and up popped this beautiful Summit – which is the top of the line Chinook for that year. It was the right price and with only 30,000 miles, I was truly amazed at the blessing! I contacted the private party and we are finalizing the deal today.
She is in Mississippi so I’ll be flying to Gulfport and then driving her to Denver to spend a week with my beautiful granddaughter. Then will be driving her home.
She has all new tires, new rear brakes and a fresh oil change. She will also have a thorough inspection before I hit the road. I’ll be documenting my adventure here.
In the meantime, here are the rest of the photos.
