A Mystic\u2019s “Calling” Card<\/a><\/p>\n

No one starts out to be a mystic. And if they do, they never will be.<\/p>\n

Their sense of aloneness may first begin when their innate love of God<\/p>\n

Repels them from the most obvious place in the world for them — religion.<\/p>\n

Rather than point out the pomposity and hypocrisy, they seek a quieter place .<\/p>\n

If they have wisdom they will look for community;<\/p>\n

But it is the journey not the destination that they will find.<\/p>\n

Yet the overpowering love of God drives them on to give and find Love.<\/p>\n

Love is relational, and the mystic finds that most humans mistake need for love. The intensity of need is not the passion of love.<\/p>\n

The mystic realizes greater aloneness<\/p>\n

in the relationships meant to fulfill.<\/p>\n

Mystics do not appear that much different than others,<\/p>\n

Until you look into their eyes and their smiles.<\/p>\n

They come to realize that they must remain unknown.<\/p>\n

For Thousands of pretenders would rush, clamoring and clanking a false tone.<\/p>\n

They know themselves and God<\/p>\n

In an intimacy that leads them to a place<\/p>\n

utterly and passionately alone in the Alone.<\/p>\n

Here they find their home.<\/p>\n

They are broken by God numerous times,<\/p>\n

Often leaving them closer to death than life.<\/p>\n

Yet each breaking yields immortal strength to their “furnace of love,”<\/p>\n

And through alchemy\u2019s purification<\/p>\n

Healing is poured out in streams of Grace.<\/p>\n

As door after door closes in their lives,<\/p>\n

God fills the spaces more and more.<\/p>\n

They converse with the trees and creatures, ah, every living thing.<\/p>\n

Only humans seem not to recognize them, what a shame that is.<\/p>\n

In the Aloneness, they realize God. That is all they know.<\/p>\n

And though seriously weakened by the breaking,<\/p>\n

They become indefatigable warriors holding evil at bay,<\/p>\n

And luminous beacons shining Love into the world each day.<\/p>\n
