Intuitive insight
I find myself seeing things so clearly now.
My deepest Life Lessons were never easy. In fact, it is becomming quite clear to me now that the Life Lessons that were/are most meaningful are those that provide insight into my Ego-self. You see, my Ego-self can get out of control at times. As anyone close to me will be more than happy to tell you.
It has always been a challenge for me to keep my mouth shut when something appears to me should be said. What’s that ole saying? “Some things are better left unsaid?”
Anyway, up until about two years ago – I always managed to open mouth and insert foot up to my hip bone most of the time. My former sister-in-law once told my oldest son that I always said what everyone else was thinking.
What’s interesting is I see the exact same personality trait (or some would say ‘flaw’) in my oldest son. It doesn’t come from a desire to be rude or hurtful. My sense is it stems from an overwhelming fundamental passion for authenticity. Keeping it ‘real’ has always been vital to me and it seems that way with Matt too. It is one reason I don’t do well in social settings that require mindless small talk.
But I digress……..
NOTE TO SELF: It isn’t always necessary to tell others what Life Lessons appear to you to be self-evident.
And I miss Matt.
He’s posted some pics of his trip to LA on his MySpace site. It’s good to see him doing what he loves.
