True Friends
Perhaps my lesson now is to discern TRUE friends from those who are not so true?
Here's a few of the definitions of TRUE friends:
A true friend is someone who sees past your outside to see the beauty inside.
A true friend is someone who sees your ugly side and still loves you.
A true friend is someone you can call at 3:00 in the morning if your world is falling apart.
TRUE friends will always be honest with you, even when they know what they say may be hurtful. They will always say what needs to be said – BUT it will always be tempered with compassion and caring. And the only reason they will ever say anything that may be hurtful is to help you grow emotionally or spiritually.
Avoiding a potentially hurtful conversation is NOT something that TRUE FRIENDS do. They don't run away when the going gets tough.
TRUST is the foundation of all relationships – and there can be no greater relationship than that of a TRUE FRIEND.
