There have been a couple of rare occasions when I have felt overwhelmed with feelings that are hard to describe – words are definitely inadequate.

Tonight was one of those rare occasions.

Sharing Matt’s movie premier with a theatre full of his enthusiastic friends and supporters….. knowing how very hard he has worked to bring it to this point….. the feelings of pride for what he has been able to accomplish, humility realizing how so often I have failed him, love of his beautiful Soul.

Many years ago when he would sing and act in drama productions in high school I had similar feelings – he has the most beautiful voice and is so very talented.

I am deeply blessed to have had the privilege to share in his growth as an artist and more importantly, witness his growth into a man of intense passion and integrity.

As he prepares to explore professional opportunities in Southern California soon, I will hold onto these memories and relish the challenges that lie ahead for him. He’s well prepared emotionally and spiritually.
